This page explains which cookies and similar tools the website www.insulaesrl.it uses and how you can choose which ones to accept. It complements the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the visitor’s browser so it can read them again on later visits. They are first-party when set by this site and third-party when set by an external service used by the site.
Technical cookies are needed for the site to work and do not require consent. All others are activated only after you accept them.
The banner and your choices
On your first visit a banner appears with the buttons Accept all, Necessary only and Preferences. Until you choose, the site loads no tool that requires consent; closing or ignoring the banner does not count as consent.
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page: if you withdraw consent, the cookies in that category are deleted. Your choice lasts 6 months, after which the banner is shown again. It is also shown again if this cookie policy changes substantially.
To be able to prove that consent was collected, the site records each choice on its own server: categories accepted, date, language, policy version and a random code. The record does not contain your IP address or any other data that identifies you.

The spam protection on the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile) does not require consent because it is needed for the site to work; Cloudflare receives your IP address, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Statistics (only with your consent)
If you accept the Statistics category, the site activates Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, which measures visits in aggregate form: pages viewed, session length, approximate geographic origin and device type. It helps us understand which content is of interest and improve the site. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Until you give consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. The site uses Google Consent Mode v2: advertising purposes always remain denied.

Profiling cookies and external content
The site does not use profiling or advertising cookies and does not embed maps, videos or social media content. The link to our location on Google Maps and the links to other websites load nothing until you click them. If the site introduces tools of this kind in the future, this page will be updated and your consent will be asked before they are activated.
Transfers outside the European Union
Data collected by Google Analytics may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, found adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023.
